Default Jennur's Horde Mission Master

I've searched and searched this forum looking for threads with tips on how to get Master in Jennur's Horde mission w/ heroes & henchies, but haven't found anything. So... I hope I'm posting in the right place and asking the right questions.

I tried this mission for the first time last night (as my ranger char) w/ different builds, teams of different hs & hs and different strategies. I'd love to hear how you did it from those of you who got your Masters in this mission.

Thanks!

I did it several times with different characters with masters. It is very simple with henchies. Patience is the key.

You will have to clear all the groups of margonites in the below the staircase, minus the harbringer of nightfall. Just flag your heroes away and pull the groups the margonites into your flagged heroes.

You will have to kill the running group of margonites fairly quickly before going after the group of margonites up the stairs. If you don't think you can kill all the margonites within 2 minutes, flag your heroes away the staircase and into the running group of margonites and take care of them. Afterwards, go back and finish the margonites. I found that if you have an mm in your party the group of margonites up the stairs will finishing off your minions rather than running after your group.

LMAO pug ster...

What a coincidence. Your guild was winning favor in HoH last night while I was trying this mission. Couldn't forget that guild name... it's rather unusual.

And thanks for the tip.

Default It is doable but be not easy

Get to where u know the timing of the patrols. Protect your sprits. Clear the front area by the stairs at ground level before going up to kill bosses. When u go up the stairs flag ur hench and heroes mid way run up kill the boss then run down pulling most of the guys on the stairs with u. Hopefully u cleared the guys below. It’s ok to leave a few alive on the stairs to stop a patrol. Takes time first time took me like six or so tries to get timing right. I like to have two Fire and one Earth Ele with an MM and two heal Monks, and have to have old KOSS, for mission.

If you need a monk, I can help you out from Friday night on (after my last exam, blah), just pm me if you haven't done it by then yet (I could get some more human friends to come with us as well)

The more pugs there is, the harder it is. The only time when I finished this mission with more than one person was with a guildie and we finished because he followed my calls.

Glad you noticed it. Our guild leader recently came back and make the guild a HA guild. We made this unusual name and hope people will remember it

Val wrote a guide on getting masters for this mission. See comments to this guide for alternative strategy.

Just make sure to get back and guard the middle and not let the advancing
patrol thru which comes every 2 minutes.....an MM comes in handy and a
Shadow-stepping Assassin for taking out the Harbinger's, that would be
ME!!!!!!!

The mission is incredibly easy as long as you have patience (a rarity these days...)

Masters is nothing different. Just an extra 2 mobs you need to fight.

It's red light, green light. Wait for the commando Margonite mob to spawn, kill it, proceed, kill a different mob, wait until the commando Margonite mob spawns again, repeat.

Default Patience and timing

Took all your great advice and tried again last night. I changed the team build a bit, which gave me higher DPS and got really close. I think I can probably get it done tonight. It's all in learning the timing (since you can basically knock Margonite over w/ a feather).

LOL... it's 'red light, green light' as Zinger said.

Thanks again! And a special thank you to Saphatorael and SirShadowrunner for offering your help ingame (I THINK you were offering your help SirShadowrunner). You just might hear from me!

Default Thank you!

Done. Got my master's. Followed a lot of advice in this thread (thank you all very much), and that really made it easy. Just time consuming playing 'red light, green light'.

I saved the two harbies on either side of the rift until after I got the two bonus harbies and all their attendants, and I used them for my source of lights to drop on the Harbie of Nightfall. He actually made it super easy. After I dropped the second light on him, he followed me back to the spirit, and all I had to do was pick up the third light and drop it... ding ding ding... game over.

FYI. I just did this mission with my mesmer this past weekend and I noticed something else. The margonite group up the stairs and the harbringer are not in the same group. You can flag your heroes down the stairs, and run upstairs to pull the margonites (and not the harbringer.) Afterwards, you can run upstairs with the light of seborin and kill the harbringer.
